Two Vehicle Injury Accident

The Gage County Sheriff’s office investigated a two-vehicle injury accident on 02/01/2023 at S. 51^st RD and E. HWY 136. The investigation found that Faith Husband, 17 years of age, of Cortland, NE, was operating 2006 Ford Escape when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a semi-trailer. The semi was being operated by Daniel Sargent, 63 years of age, of Lewiston, NE.

Husband was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center by Beatrice Fire and Rescue for non-life-threatening injuries. Husband was issued a citation for driving left of center. No alcohol or drugs are suspected. Both drivers were wearing the appropriate seatbelts.
