Mobile Home Accident

 On 06-28-24 at approximately 0020 Hrs. the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a mobile home stuck on Liberty Dr. West of Liberty. An investigation indicated that a 70’ mobile home was being towed from Ellis to Liberty by 39-year-old Joshua Carpenter of Beatrice. The Wheels of the mobile home failed and it began to skid. This caused the suspension to fail and the mobile home began to drag on the road. The mobile home was drug for approximately ½ mile until the mobile home collapsed onto the road and could no longer be drug.

The mobile home could not be removed from the roadway at that time, so the road was barricaded by the Gage County Highway Department.

Efforts to remove the mobile home are continuing.
