Injury Accident, Failure to Yield ROW

DATE & TIME:  08-19-22 at 2022 Hrs.     

LOCATION: SW 114th St/ Rd and W Gage Rd.   

OFFENSE:  Injury Accident, Failure to Yield ROW      

CASE #:  2022-4302             

On 08-19-22 at approximately 2022 Hrs. Hallam Fire and Rescue, Cortland Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Officer were dispatched to the intersection of SW 114th St/Rd, and W Gage Rd. for a two-vehicle collision with reported injuries. Due to the location; (the Gage Lancaster County line), assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol was requested.

An investigation conducted at the scene indicated that a black 2013 Ford Explorer; driven by 34-year-old Nicole Dewey of Hallam and occupied by her two young children, was traveling eastbound on W Gage Rd., approaching SW 114th St./ Rd.  A second vehicle; a silver 1997 Honda Accord, driven by 62-year-old Lori Robison of Wilber, was traveling southbound on SW 114th St./Rd, approaching W Gage Rd. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, with both vehicles coming to rest in the southeast corner area of intersection.

The intersection is uncontrolled/ with no traffic control signs.

Ms. Dewey and her children were checked by EMTs and released from the scene

Ms. Robison was transported from the scene by ground ambulance to Bryan LGH West for complaints of pain.

Ms. Robison was later cited for failure to yield the right of way to a vehicle.

All persons were using proper occupant protection. There was airbag deployment in Ms. Robison’s vehicle.

Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been a factor.
