On Thursday January 16, 2025, at approximately 8:50 PM the Gage County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 603 N. 8^th St. in Wymore, NE.  The search warrant was part of an investigation into marijuana distribution occurring at the residence of Brian McLaughlin, age 66 of Wymore.  During a search of the residence, deputies located 8 separate baggies of marijuana, totaling 42 grams, along with a digital scale, $488 in cash, and a shotgun.  McLaughlin is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms.  McLaughlin was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Firearm During a Drug Violation, Possession of Drug Money, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  McLaughlin was lodged in the Gage County Detention Center.
