2 arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance in Wymore

OFFENSE: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Controlled Substance

DETAILS: On December 26, 2024, at approximately 7:10 PM Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies went to 219 W. F St. in Wymore, NE to arrest Sayge Peters, who had a felony warrant for his arrest from Jefferson County, NE.  Peters was contacted in his bedroom along with his wife Tara Peters.  After being placed into custody Sayge and Tara Peters were questioned about an unrelated investigation.  During the course of this, items relating to the use of methamphetamine were observed in plain view around the bedroom.  During a further search of the bedroom, deputies located a total of 11 individual baggies of suspected methamphetamine, weighing around 16 grams along with 32 new and clean small plastic zip-lock baggies along with numerous new and used syringes and meth pipes.  Deputies also located numerous pills that were identified as Alprazolam or Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, both which are controlled substances and deputies also located a straight blade knife with a 6 ¼” blade.  Both Sayge Peters and Tara Peters were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver along with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Sayge Peters is a convicted felon, and he was also arrested for Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person.
