Injury Accident W Highway 4/Juniper Rd

DETAILS: The Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single-vehicle injury accident on 08/15/2024 on State HWY 4 and Juniper Road. The investigation revealed that Felix Garcia-Acuma, 25 years of age, from DeWitt, NE, was operating a 2003 Toyota Rav 4 westbound on State HWY 4 when Garcia-Acuma fell asleep causing the vehicle to run off the roadway. The vehicle reentered the roadway, started skidding, and rolled over before landing right side up.

Beatrice Fire and Rescue along with Rural Beatrice Fire and Rescue responded to the scene to assess the driver for suspected minor injuries. Garcia-Acuma was transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment.

Garcia-Acuma was issued a citation for no operator’s license

Speeding, alcohol, and drugs are not suspected to be factors in this vehicle accident.
