LOCATION: E Spruce Rd. S 108th to S 101st Rds.

On 10-20-22 at approximately 2133 Hrs. Wymore Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a single vehicle accident, with injuries, on E Spruce Rd and S 108th Rd.
An investigation conducted at the scene indicated that a blue 2007 Honda Accord, being driven by 29-year-old Ashley Hinz of Barneston, was traveling westbound on Spruce Rd. when a deer ran in front of the vehicle. The driver attempted to avoid hitting the deer and the vehicle entered the north ditch of the roadway. The vehicle struck several trees and came to rest in the bottom of the ditch. There were three children; ages 5, 4 and 3, also in the vehicle. Ms. Hinz and the three children were transported from the scene to Beatrice Community Hospital for what appeared to be minor injuries.
All occupants were using occupant restraints. There was airbag deployment in the vehicle. Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been a factor
