Single Vehicle Injury Accident

DATE & TIME: 12-19-2022 / 3:10 pm

LOCATION: West Chestnut Road / Southwest 58th Road / Pickrell

OFFENSE: Single Vehicle Injury Accident

CASE #: 2022-6636

On Monday, December 19, 2022, at approximately 3:13 pm, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single vehicle “rollover” accident at the intersection of West Chestnut Road and Southwest 58th Road, about three miles west of Pickrell.  Due to numerous other calls for service, the closest sheriff’s office personnel was an investigator who responded to the scene.

A 2012 Chevrolet SUV, driven by 29-year-old Paige Vilda of De Witt, Nebraska was eastbound on West Chestnut Road, lost traction in the snow-covered road, and slid off West Chestnut Road into the ditch on the southeast corner of Southwest 58th Road, and rolled over, coming to a rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Ms. Vilda was treated at the scene by paramedics from the Pickrell Volunteer Fire Department and Beatrice Fire and Rescue.  She was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment.

Speed and alcohol are not considered to be factors in the accident.  Ms. Vilda was extricated from the vehicle by rescue personnel.
