DATE & TIME: 08-09-2018 @ 8:46 am

LOCATION: 735 West Mary Street, Beatrice

OFFENSE: Sex Offender Registration Violation / Arrest

CASE #: 2018-4068

On Thursday, 08-09-2018, Jason Allen Pate, a 35-year-old registered sex offender, was arrested by a Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigator at 735 West Mary Street in Beatrice for failing to notify the sheriff’s office of a new, temporary, or habitual address as required by law under the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry Act.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office was notified by a Beatrice police officer, the Wymore police chief, and representatives from Southeast Community College, which owns/manages the property, on 08-09-2018 that they had contact with Jason Allen Pate at 735 West Mary and had received information that he had been staying there for numerous days. The investigator confirmed that Pate had not registered that address with the sheriff’s office, then responded to the scene.

Through interviews of witnesses, neighbors, representatives from Southeast Community College, and information from the Beatrice officer on the scene, it was determined that Jason Allen Pate had failed to register that address with the sheriff’s office. The investigator placed Pate under arrest and he was transported to the jail by the Beatrice Police Department.
