Property Damage Accident

DATE & TIME: 09-19-2021 @ 3:33 pm

LOCATION: South 1st Road / West Lilac Road (Beatrice Country Club/Hole 7)

OFFENSE: Property Damage Accident

CASE #: 2021-3874

On Sunday, September 19, 2021, at approximately 3:33 pm, deputies from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the Beatrice Country Club. A vehicle heading southbound on South 1st Road between Oak Street and West Lilac Road, left the roadway, drove through a barbed wire fence, and onto the golf course near the 7th Hole tee box.  Several linksman on the course witnessed the accident and reported it to the sheriff’s office.

The driver, a juvenile female, came to the sheriff’s office a short time later with a parent and reported the incident. The driver was issued a citation by an investigator at the sheriff’s office and released to her parent.

A request was sent to the manager of the Beatrice Country Club for an estimate of the damage to the golf course, however it appears the only damage is to a small section of the barbed wire fence and some cosmetic damage to grass surrounding the 7th tee.

The driver and the other two occupants were wearing their safety belts. Speed and alcohol are not considered to be a factor in the accident.
