One vehicle rollover injury accident at South 36th Road & Sargent Road

OFFENSE:  One vehicle injury accident

On November 14, 2016 at 1955 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Beatrice Fire & Rescue and Beatrice Rural Fire Department responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Sargent Road just east of South 36th Road. 

A 2014 Jeep Compass was traveling northbound on South 36th Road when it approached the curve on South 36th and Sargent Road. The vehicle began to turn east following the curve. The Jeep hit a soft patch of gravel causing it to leave the roadway and roll several times. The Jeep came to rest on its side in the north ditch of Sargent Road.

The driver of the Jeep was 20 year old Casandra Anderson of Beatrice. The Jeep had three other passengers including a one year old child. All occupants of the vehicle suffered only minor injuries and were evaluated on location by Beatrice Rescue, and then transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by a family member for further evaluation

Seatbelts and child safety restraints were utilized during the accident. Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected to be a causing factor in the accident.
