Injury Accident

On Saturday, December 10^th, 2022, at approximately 1829 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Rural Fire were dispatched to a one-vehicle injury accident on SW 103^rd Rd, near West Hickory Road.

The accident investigation revealed the driver, 40-year-old, Amber Murphy from De Witt, NE was southbound on SW 103^rd Road and attempted to swerve to miss deer in the roadway. The vehicle lost control and entered the ditch while colliding with the ditch’s embankment causing the vehicle to bounce out of the ditch and back onto the roadway before coming to rest on the opposite side of SW 103^rd Road. Driver of the vehicle lost consciousness from the collision with the ditch. Driver elected a private transport to the Beatrice Community Hospital.

Minor injuries suspected.

Restraints not in use. Airbags not deployed.

Alcohol/drugs not suspected to be a factor in this accident.

Speed may have been a factor in this accident.
