Injury Accident

On December 21, 2021 at approximately 1830 hours, Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury accident at S. 94^th Road and E. Linden Road. Investigation at the scene determined that a 2019 Chevy Equinox driven by Donita Weyer, 63, of rural Blue Springs disregarded the stop sign at S. 94^th and E. Linden Roads and was struck by a 1994 GMC Sonoma driven by Brian Vrtiska, 35, of rural Holmesville which was traveling east on E. Linden Road. Weyer reported a minor injury to her hand. Neither driver was transported due to injuries.  Vehicle occupant protection is believed to have been in use in both vehicles. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor. Weyer was issued a citation for Stop Sign Violation.
