On July 29, 2021 at approximately 1845 hours, Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Clatonia Fire and Rescue, and Pickrell Fire were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury accident at S. 54^th Road and East Buckeye Road. Investigation at the scene determined that a 2009 Chevy Silverado driven by Kurt Lineweber, 37 of DeWitt NE, failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a 2021 Chevy Silverado driven by Catherine Reed, 16 from Firth, NE. One passenger from the 2009 Silverado was transported by ground ambulance to Bryan LGH West for unknown severity of injuries.  Vehicle occupant protection is believed to have been in use in both vehicles.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor.

A citation was issued to Lineweber for stop sign violation and driving under suspension.
