On 11-30-14 at approximately 0248 hours, a Gage County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop at S. 66 and Juniper Roads after observing a vehicle drive left of center and fail to signal within 100 feet.
A K-9 officer with the Beatrice Police Department walked his patrol dog around the vehicle and the dog indicated the presence of a controlled substance inside the vehicle. Deputies and the K-9 Officer conducted a search of the vehicle and they found 47.7grams of a white substance which tested field positive for methamphetamine, 2.6 pounds of marijuana, a glass methamphetamine pipe, drug paraphernalia, and a 22 caliber revolver.
Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle to be 23 year old Candace Fulmer of Beatrice, NE and the passenger, 29 year old Charles Burr of Blue Springs, NE. Both individuals were placed under arrest for possession of marijuana more than a pound, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm while delivering a controlled substance, possession of drug money, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed weapon and drug dealer tax. Burr was also arrested for felon in possession of a firearm.
Deputies also seized $1270 in cash from the arrested persons.
