On Monday July 22nd Gage County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Christina Devor, age 34 of Wymore, on two felony charges following an investigation. Deputies were originally dispatched to 221 N 12th St in Wymore on June 25th to assist medical units with a newborn baby that had been born at the residence. While on scene, it was learned that Devor had just given birth prematurely and she had been using meth and marijuana during the pregnancy. As part of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence and a baggie of suspected methamphetamine was located along with marijuana, high concentrate THC wax, several other baggies with white residue, and several other items of drug paraphernalia. The newborn infant was hospitalized for about three weeks following the birth and was placed in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Devor was arrested for Felony Child Abuse, Exposing a Child to Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
