OFFENSE: Two Vehicle Rollover Accident

DETAILS: On Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 8:12 am, Gage County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle rollover accident. During the investigation it was determined that a 17-year-old male of Beatrice was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. The 17-year-old male was turning South onto Hwy 77 from Elm Rd when a 2007 Honda Odyssey, northbound on Highway 77 and being driven by a Jose Rosales emerged from the fog and struck the other vehicle. The Honda Odyssey then overturned and rolled coming to a stop blocking both northbound lanes of traffic on Hwy 77.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts appropriately and both refused medical treatment on scene. Alcohol and drugs are not considered a factor in this accident. The fog greatly reduced visibility for both drivers.

Beatrice Fire and Beatrice Rural Fire also responded providing medical care to the parties.

Nebraska State Patrol responded and assisted with traffic control.
