On November 5,2026, deputies with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on US Highway 77 involving a 2005 Ford Taurus driven by Chastity Keith, 30 from Trinidad, CO and a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Clifford Blankenship, 25 also from Trinidad, CO.
The accident investigation revealed that both vehicles were eastbound on State Highway 8. Blankenship was at the stop sign at US Highway 77 waiting to turn north when Keith struck Blankenship from behind. Keith was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by Wymore EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. Blankenship was not injured during this accident.
The Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Wymore Fire & Rescue.
The crash remains under investigation by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident.
Speed was determined to be a factor in this accident.
Keith was cited and released.
