OFFENSE: Single Vehicle Accident

On the aforementioned date and time, Deputies with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Hwy 77 and SW 2nd Rd. Upon arrival, Deputies discovered that a 2003 Ford Crown Vic driven by 35-year-old Alexandra Vetter of Hallam had left the roadway and overturned several times. Members of the Cortland Fire and Rescue and Clatonia Rescue were treating Vetter and her son at the scene. Cortland Rescue and Clatonia Rescue transported them to Bryan West for further treatment. The driver was attempting to pass a slower vehicle on the inside lane, her vehicle hit the edge of the median, the driver over corrected and began to skid into the ditch. Once the vehicle hit the ditch, the vehicle rolled.
Further investigation determined that seatbelts were in use and air bags deployed.
