CASE #:               2026-2258

DETAILS: On the above listed date and time Gage County Deputies and Adams Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a single vehicle accident involving a cement truck on its side blocking the highway. Christopher Rebon, 47 years old from Lincoln was driving a loaded cement truck for Great Plains Redi-Mix Concrete eastbound on Hwy 41.  The driver stated he swerved to miss a critter on the road and crossed the center line dropping off an edge due to the north lane being milled and the south lane was not. The driver stated he tried to correct his vehicle back on to the south lane but was unable to. The vehicle went into a skid causing it to flip onto its side and slide down the road. Two heavy duty wreckers from Lincoln were needed to remove the cement truck. Hwy 41 was shut down for several hours for the cleanup.

The driver had minor injuries but was not transported from the scene by medical. Seatbelts were in use. Alcohol was not a factor. Thanks to Adams Fire and Rescue for remaining on scene for several hours.
