This is a photo of the current Gage County Sheriff's Office/Detention Center. The red roofed building was built in 1917 and was living quarters for the Sheriffs and their families over the years. It also included a portion of the original jail that is still on the second level and is now currently used for storage. The view to the left and right of the living quarters is the new addition that was built from 1975 through 1977. For several years, the three doors to the left housed the Gage County Ambulance service which is no longer in existence.
