On Thursday January 16, 2025, at approximately 8:50 PM the Gage County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 603 N. 8thSt. in Wymore, NE. The search warrant was part of an investigation into marijuana distribution occurring at the residence of Brian McLaughlin, age 66 of Wymore. During a search of the residence, deputies located 8 separate baggies of marijuana, totaling 42 grams, along with a digital scale, $488 in cash, and a shotgun. McLaughlin is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms. McLaughlin was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Firearm During a Drug Violation, Possession of Drug Money, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. McLaughlin was lodged in the Gage County Detention Center.
