On Friday July 12, 2024 at approximately 12:15 PM Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with assistance from the Beatrice Police Department, executed a search warrant at 1520 Market St. in Beatrice. The search warrant was part of an investigation into methamphetamine distribution occurring at the residence. During a search of the residence, deputies located four individually wrapped baggies of suspected methamphetamine, weighing approximately 16 grams, along with a .32 caliber revolver, digital scales, marijuana, and several items of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Devon Swoboda, age 27, of Beatrice for Possession of a Firearm During a Drug Violation, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver amongst other charges. Swoboda is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a past domestic assault conviction.
Deputies also arrested Ashley Ohnesorge, age 33, of Beatrice for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Drug House, and Child Neglect.
Deputies arrested Samantha Buchholz, age 30, of Beatrice for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
