Search Warrant Leads to Two Arrests

DATE & TIME: Friday December 20, 2019 @ 4:51 P.M.

LOCATION: 233 S. Lasalle St.; Beatrice, NE   

OFFENSE: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, less than 1 oz.; Possession of a Legend Drug, Child Abuse

On 12/20/19 at approximately 4:51 PM the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol and Beatrice Police Dept., executed a search warrant at 233 S. Lasalle St. in Beatrice, NE. The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation involving methamphetamine distribution occurring in Gage County. Upon entry into the residence, deputies located Jesse Henry, age 40, of Beatrice and Kristie Ray, age 44, of Beatrice and another female and young child. Henry and Ray were observed coming from the basement when deputies entered the residence and deputies later located a broken, glass pipe that appeared to have been smashed and scattered about the basement floor. Residue from the pipe pre-tested positive for methamphetamine. Also in the basement, deputies located four other pills that require a prescription to possess and four marijuana pipes. Both Henry and Ray were lodged in jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Ray was also charged with Child Abuse, Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz. and Possession of a Legend Drug. The investigation is ongoing.
