On December 18th, 2020, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by several local businesses stating someone claiming to be a deputy had contacted them by phone. The caller was requesting camera and security system information. No data was given at the time.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office will only contact you by phone or in person if you have reported a crime at your business within the county.

Never give any information over the phone to anyone unless you know it’s a deputy you have spoken with about your case. If your business is located in Beatrice the law enforcement agency making contact will be the Beatrice Police Department.
