Pursuit Resulting in Arrest

LOCATION: US Highway 136 Between Southwest 75^th and Southwest 103^rd Road

On November 10, 2017 at approximately 0438 Hours, a Deputy with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on US Highway 136 between Southwest 75^th and Southwest 103^rd Road. The vehicle failed to stop for the deputy and a pursuit ensued westbound on US Highway 136 with speeds reaching 100 MPH.

A deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was able to locate the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on US Highway 136 with no headlights activated. The deputy was able to get the vehicle stopped in Jefferson County on US Highway 136 near 716 Road approximately 2 miles into Jefferson County.

The driver of the vehicle, 27 year old Kevin Brimmer of Beatrice, was immediately arrested and transported to the Gage County Detention Center. Brimmer was charged with Driving Under Revocation, Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving, and Speeding.
