Possession of Methamphetamine arrest October 2024

LOCATION: 7th and Irving St.; Beatrice                                    

OFFENSE: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver 28-139 grams of methamphetamine

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into Troy Peirce, age 39 of Beatrice, being involved in the distribution of methamphetamine.  On 10/10/24 an arrest warrant was issued for Peirce to be arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver 28-139 grams of meth.  On 10/11/24 deputies and Beatrice Police Officers worked together to arrest Peirce.  A Beatrice Police Officer attempted to contact Peirce in a vehicle near 7th and Irving St. in Beatrice.  Peirce fled on foot and a foot pursuit ensued.  During the foot pursuit Peirce was observed to discard an item from his pocket.  Peirce was taken into custody a short time later near 8th and Jackson St.  The BPD Officer walked along the path of the foot pursuit and located a small plastic baggie of a white crystal substance in the area where Peirce was observed to discard an item.  Peirce was lodged in jail and is facing additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Evidence, and Obstructing a Peace Officer.
