On 6/17/15 at 1833 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and Beatrice Rural Fire and Rescue responded to a one vehicle injury accident on Highway 136 and SW 61stRoad.

Melissa Brewer, age 23 of Beatrice was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu west on Highway 136. She was unable to slow down when turning south onto SW 61stRoad and went into the ditch.

Brewer was transported to Bryan West in Lincoln, NE for her injuries.

Seatbelts were used and airbags deployed. Alcohol was not a factor.
