On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, investigators from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by investigators from the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office in Jonesboro, Georgia regarding a felony warrant on 39-year-old Eddie Liriano, a registered sec offender, who had committed a violation of the Georgia Sex Offender Registry by not notifying Georgia he was moving to Nebraska.

Liriano moved to Nebraska in mid-May of this year and registered with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, reporting a home address in Beatrice on May 20th, 2026.

Deputies went to Liriano’s reported home address, made contact with him there and arrested him on the Georgia warrant. He was taken to the Gage County Detention Center and booked into jail on the warrant. There were no local charges and Liriano was in compliance with Nebraska Sex Offender Registry Act (SORA) reporting requirements.

There are currently 74 registered sex offenders reporting a home address in Gage County.
