On 08/17/2018 at approximately 1500 hours the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle (motorcycle) injury accident near Elm Road on South 134thRoad. The driver, Robin Hogrefe, 62 years of age of Union, NE, was traveling southbound on 134thRoad near Elm Road when his Harley Davidson ran off of the roadway to the west and came to rest in the west ditch.
Hogrefe told EMS that he was not familiar with the roadway and after exiting a curve in the roadway he ran off the road into the ditch. Hogrefe was transported to Bryan West Medical Center by Beatrice Fire and Rescue for further assessment of his non-life threatening injuries.
Other agencies responding were Filley Fire and Rescue and the Nebraska State Patrol. Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected in the accident. Hogrefe was wearing a helmet during the accident.
