An investigation conducted at the scene indicated that a gold 2005 Kia Optima, driven by 16-year-old Kai Spann of Wymore, was traveling southbound on S 23rd Rd. south of Hwy 77 when the vehicle went out of control and entered the east ditch. The vehicle began to rollover, when the top of the vehicle struck a tree. The vehicle partially wrapped around the tree, pinning Mr. Spann inside.
