Injury Accident S 162nd Rd-Filley

DETAILS:

On November 7, 2024, The Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of US HWY 136 and South 162^nd Rd for a report of an accident with injuries. The investigation determined that the 17-year-old driver was westbound in a 2015 Chevy Malibu, suspected to have fallen asleep and drove into the guard rail of Mudd Creek bridge.

Full airbag deployment was activated on the 2015 Chevy Malibu. The driver was transported to BCH by Beatrice Fire & Rescue with non-life threating injuries. US HWY 136 was closed for approximately 20 minutes while the investigation was completed.

Seat Belts were in operation. Alcohol was not a factor.

Beatrice Fire & Rescue, Filley Vol. fire, and Nebraska State Patrol assisted at the scene.

Gage County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
