Injury Accident results in DUI Arrest

 OFFENSE: Injury Accident Resulting in DUI Arrest

 On September 16, 2015 at approximately 2113 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Beatrice Community Hospital in reference to a belated injury accident that occurred at South 10^th and East Sage Road in rural Gage County.

 Upon arrival, it was determined that a female passenger and a male juvenile were being treated for injuries sustained from the accident. Passengers and witnesses to the accident reported that 49 year old Michael Roberts of Wymore, was traveling north on South 10^th Road at a high rate of speed. Roberts was unable to stop at the T-Intersection at South 10^th and East Sage Road and slid into the ditch on the north side of the road. The vehicle collided with a T-intersection sign and came to a rest in the north ditch.

 The passengers in the vehicle were transported by a family member to Beatrice Community Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries and were later released.

 Roberts was located at his residence later in the evening. Roberts was taken through several field sobriety maneuvers and showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for 2^nd Offense Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving under Suspension, and No Proof of Financial Responsibility.
