Four Vehicle Accident

On 10/09/2022 at approximately 7:57 pm, a call was reported to Southeast Communications about a four-vehicle accident at 18504 E HWY 41. Deputies from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office along with Adams Fire and Rescue responded to the call.

An investigation on scene concluded that Arnold Stinson (66) of Maine, was driving a white Ford T-250 van and was traveling westbound on E HWY 41. He made contact with a cow that was standing on the HWY in front of the residence. Stinson then, backed into the drive way of 18504 E HWY 41. Karen Page (77) of Adams, NE was driving her red Jeep Cherokee westbound on E HWY 41. Page was the second vehicle to make contact with the cow that the van had struck. She then, pulled off to the north side of the road. Karen, and her husband, David Page (79) were both transported to Bryan West with non-life-threatening injuries. Rebecca Cambron (50) of Sterling, NE was driving her black GMC Terrain traveling eastbound on E HWY 41. She was the third person to strike the cow, that was now laying on the HWY. Cambron was treated on scene by Adams EMT personnel. The fourth (and last) vehicle to strike the cow, was a 17-year-old male of Sterling, NE. He was traveling eastbound towards home. The 17-year-old did not have any injuries.

Adams Fire and Rescue personnel did an outstanding job at directing traffic, and treating injured parties on scene.

Proper restraints were implemented at the time of the accident. Airbags were deployed in three of the four vehicles. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors.
