On January 19, 2025, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of South 148 RD and Cherry Rd for a report of a fatality accident.
The investigation determined that a south bound, white 2000 Ford Expedition had crossed the center line and left the roadway and impacted a utility pole then rolled which resulted in the ejection of the driver. The Driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Driver was identified as Preston J Baehr, 22, of rural Blue Springs. (Next of Kin has been notified)
Seat belts were not in operation. Speed and Alcohol consumption were factors.
Nebraska State Patrol assisted at the scene
Gage County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
