On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at approximately 1:44 pm, 33-year-old Stacie Brungardt of Wymore, Nebraska was arrested for the offense of making a false statement under oath.
In August 2025 Ms. Brungardt had filed an affidavit with the District Court of Gage County at the Gage County courthouse, 612 Grant Street, Beatrice, Nebraska.
During a court hearing on September 8, 2025, Ms. Brungardt told the judge that none of the information in the affidavit had occurred. The district court judge advised Ms. Brungardt he was going to refer the case to the Gage County Sheriff’s Office for investigation. An investigator from the sheriff’s office was present in court during Ms. Brungardt’s testimony.
After an investigation over the next couple of days, Ms. Brungardt was arrested for making a false statement under oath and was booked into the Gage County Detention Center.
