On June 23,2026 before Gage County Court’s 9:00 a.m. arraignment hearings, court and sheriff office staff were made aware that one of the court attendees was possibly intoxicated.

The Court ordered the attendee to submit to a preliminary breath test to help determine if she was able to understand the proceedings. The PBT result was .336.

The Court ordered Alycia Fritzen, 46, of Beatrice, be remanded into custody and held until the Court was satisfied she was in a condition to understand the court proceeding. Due to Ms. Fritzen’s disorderly behavior, other deputies and officers of the Beatrice Police Department were called to safely place her into custody. She was transported to a medical facility to be medically cleared before entry into the Gage County Detention Center.

Ms. Fritzen is currently going through court for two court cases. The first case is for 2nd Offense Refusal of a Chemical Test, DUI above the .15 level, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. The second case is for Terroristic Threats, a felony.
