Criminal Trespass, 2nd Degree

On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at approximately 8:58 am, deputies from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in Adams, Nebraska for a trespassing complaint.  Deputies had been to the same address the day before and issued a verbal trespass warning to twenty-year-old Michael Abbott about staying away from a residence in town.

When deputies arrived, video evidence and witness statements showed Michael Abbott had returned to the residence, but left before deputies arrived.

A deputy searched around town and located Michael Abbott at a restaurant in town. 

An investigator with the sheriff’s office issued a criminal citation to Michael Abbott for 2^nd Degree Criminal Trespassing and he was advised to stay away from that residence or face being taken to jail.

The deputy and restaurant staff made arrangements for a place for Abbott to stay until a friend came to pick him up.
