On Monday, 07-28-2025, deputies were dispatched to Cortland for a suspicious male attempting to unlawfully enter vehicles and houses in Cortland.

During the investigation a suspect, 24-year-old Corbyn Day of Pickrell, Nebraska was identified and located at 5^th and Sheridan Streets in Cortland.. Witnesses stated he attempted to enter multiple vehicles in Cortland,

Based on the witness statements and a statement from the suspect, he was arrested for disturbing the peace and attempted theft by unlawful taking.

He was transported to the Gage County Detention Center and booked into the jail.
