In the early morning hours of July 24, 2018, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of a green Ford extended cab pickup. The reason for the pursuit was a fail to stop for law enforcement for a speeding violation. The pursuit entered Gage county on West US Hwy 4 at which time the suspects vehicle left the highway and entered into a field at SW 103rd Rd. The vehicle caused damage to the field and crops owned by Donald Esau of Gage County. Total amount of damage to the field and crops is estimated at $1000.00.
The suspect vehicle fled north into Saline County where the vehicle in question eluded law enforcement.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues their investigation into the incident.
