On the above listed date and time inside the Gage County Jail an inmate was assaulted by another inmate. The two inmates were together in a common area watching TV together. Words were exchanged between the two, one inmate stood up and punched the other inmate two times in the face. One inmate was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital for a minor injury and the other was treated by the nurse inside the jail. Both inmates had minor injuries. The investigation will continue.
