Injury Accident on Highway 8 near SW 45th Road

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle rollover accident today on U.S. Highway 8 approximately .75 miles east of Odell.
The vehicle involved was a tractor trailer driven by Bryan Avery, age 27 of Grandview MO. Avery was eastbound on Highway 8 when the load he was carrying shifted as he was going through the curves. When this occurred, Avery lost control of his vehicle and ended up in the south ditch of Highway 8 on its side. When the tractor trailer tipped over the load of scrap iron that was being hauled spilled in the ditch
Avery received minor cuts but refused to be transported. Gage County was assisted by Odell QRT, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Seat belts were used by the driver.
