OFFENSE: Personal Injury Accident
CASE #: 2019-1578
On April 1, 2019, at approximately 2:08 pm, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Highway 4 and West Juniper Road, approximately a half mile east of Southwest 117thRoad, for a single vehicle personal injury accident. Beatrice Fire and Rescue and the Beatrice Rural Fire Department were also dispatched to the scene for the victim’s injuries.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they were able to determine that a 2001 Ford Focus being driven by twenty-five year old Jessica Leach of Beatrice was westbound on Highway 4 from Beatrice. When the road curved to the left, Leach’s vehicle left the roadway to the right, went into the ditch and rolled over a minimum of one time, landing on the tires and facing the opposite direction from where it had just traveled.
Leach was treated at the scene by paramedics, but was not taken to the hospital. The driver was wearing her seatbelt and neither speed nor alcohol are considered to be a factor.
The vehicle was considered totaled and towed from the scene by Huls Towing.
