On June 13, 2024, The Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to East Elm Road to assist with a rescue call. The details of the call related to a 67-year-old male subject whom was trapped in a Grain Elevator. Pickrell Fire, Beatrice Rural Fire and Beatrice Rescue responded accordingly.

Fire personnel were able to extract the male from the grain bin without injury.
