CASE #: 2026-4636
DETAILS:
On Monday, November 2, 2026, at approximately 7:40 am, a deputy with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle westbound on Highway 136 from near Filley, Nebraska.
At about 7:58 am, the deputy located the vehicle about 4 miles east of Beatrice. As the vehicles passed each other, the automatic license plate reader in the patrol car indicated a possible stolen vehicle. The deputy turned around to follow the vehicle, however the vehicle then pulled over and the driver, 27-year-old Erin Sutcliffe from Fulton, Missouri immediately surrendered and admitted to stealing the vehicle, a 2016 Ford F150, from a residence in Fulton, Missouri.
A police officer from the Beatrice Police Department responded to the scene to assist the deputy.
After confirming with Southeast Communications that the vehicle was stolen, the driver was taken to the Gage County Detention Center and booked into jail for theft by receiving stolen property (possession of stolen property).
The deputy contacted the Fulton Police Department and informed them of the vehicle being recovered and an arrest being made. The vehicle was towed and the owner of the vehicle and the Fulton Police Department will make arrangements to retrieve the vehicle.
