On 10-19-2025, at 2333 hours, Gage County Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on W Scott Road, just west of SW 61st Road. Upon arrival on scene, deputies observed a single motor vehicle rollover accident. There were 4 occupants of the motor vehicle that were involved in the accident. The driver was identified as Joseph Korber, 19-years-old, from Bern, KS. Joseph was located in the driver seat and was declared deceased at the scene. A passenger who was alert and conscious on scene advised deputies that Joseph was eastbound on Scott Rd. traveling at least 100mph when Jospeh lost control of the vehicle. The accident investigation revealed that the vehicle proceeded to roll numerous times before coming to a stop. One passenger was transported to Bryan West Hospital via ambulance for life-threatening injuries. The other two passengers were taken to the Beatrice Community Hospital via ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be a factor in the cause of this accident. Seat belts were in use.

Accident investigation is on-going.

Nebraska State Patrol was called in to assist with the accident reconstruction.

Beatrice Fire and Rescue & Beatrice Rural Fire and Rescue arrived on scene to treat injuries to the passengers of the motor vehicle.
