OFFENSE: Two vehicle injury accident

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident. It was found that Griselda Valerio-Rojas 55 years of age of Sioux Falls, SD, driving a red 2010 Mazda CX-7 eastbound on HWY 112, was pulling onto US Hwy 77 from Hwy112 and failed to yield for a vehicle traveling southbound on US Hwy77.
The vehicle traveling southbound was a white 2003 Buick Lesabre, driven by Melinda Bowman 47 years of age of Blue Springs, NE.
The Mazda collided with the Lesabre and both vehicles came to rest in the intersection. Valerio-Rojas declined medical services and Bowman was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Beatrice Rescue, Wymore Fire and Rescue and Blue Springs Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
No alcohol or drugs are a factor in the accident. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
Valerio-Rojas was issued a citation for failure to yield to a vehicle.
