Two Vehicle Injury Accident

DATE & TIME:   10-01-21 @ 1742 Hrs.    

LOCATION: Gage Rd. and S 54^th Rd.  

OFFENSE: Two Vehicle Injury Accident

On 10-01-21 at 1742 Hrs. Cortland QRTs, Clatonia Rescue, Firth QRTs, Firth fire, Adams Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two vehicle injury accident at Gage Rd and S 54^th Rd. Due to the location; the Gage Co. Lancaster Co. line; the Gage County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol.

An investigation conducted at the scene indicated that a Semi tractor; driven by 26 year old Brian Sehnert of Dorchester Nebraska, pulling an empty trailer; was traveling westbound on Gage Road and had stopped at the stop sign for westbound traffic at S 54^th Rd. The semi then pulled into the intersection and was struck by a white 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by 58 year old Scott Garman of Rural Crab Orchard, that was traveling northbound on S 54^th Rd.

Mr. Garman was transport from the scene by ground ambulance to Bryan LGH West, for what was described as minor injuries.

At the Gage County Sheriff’s Office request, the Nebraska State Patrol issued Brian Sehnert a citation for violating a stop sign.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been factor in the accident.
