Injury Accident

On Friday, December 23^rd, 2022, at approximately 1849 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, and Wymore EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury accident on the curve of US HWY 77 and HWY 112.

The accident investigation revealed that, 29-year-old, Dakota Voight from Wymore, NE was southbound on US HWY 77 rounding the curve near HWY 112 when 27-year-old Jacob Baker from Missouri was at the stop sign attempting to turn left onto US HWY 77 and pulled out in front of Dakota Voight. Dakota Voight was transported to Bryan West via ambulance for his injuries. Jacob Baker reported no injuries on scene and declined medical transportation.

Jacob Baker was issued a traffic citation for failing to yield.

Air bags were deployed and restraints were in use.

Alcohol/drugs not suspected to be a factor in this accident.

Speed is not suspected to be a factor in this accident.
