Injury Accident

DATE & TIME:  07-25-21 @ 1928 hrs.

LOCATION:  S 10^th Road and Linden Drive 

OFFENSE:  Injury Accident

On 07-25-21 at approximately 1928, Beatrice Rural Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a single vehicle injury accident at S 10^th Rd and Linden Drive. An accident investigation conducted at the scene showed that a white 2007 Ford Freestyle SUV, driven by 32 year old Betty O’Neal of Wymore, was traveling westbound on Linden drive, approaching S 10^th Rd., which is a T intersection. The vehicle failed to make the turn, went into the west ditch, where it struck a fence, crossed over S 10^th road, entered the east ditch and impact a second fence. Ms. O’Neal was transported from the scene by ground ambulance to Beatrice Community Hospital for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

It is unknown if occupant restraints were in use. No airbags deployed. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
